1. What this site is

Tuscaloosa Swap is a free online bulletin board where people in the Tuscaloosa area post items and offers. We are not a party to any transaction. We do not own, inspect, store, deliver, or guarantee any item, parking space, listing, or user, and we do not process payments.

2. Use at your own risk

You are responsible for your own decisions and meetings. Follow the safety tips. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site is provided “as is” with no warranties, and the operator is not liable for losses, injuries, disputes, or damages arising from listings or meetings arranged through the site.

3. Your listings

• You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
• You must own what you list or have the right to sell it, and your description must be honest.
• You must not list prohibited items.
• Parking may only be listed by owners or people with written permission, per the parking rules.
• Listings are reviewed by hand before publication. We may decline, edit, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, without notice. Approval is not an endorsement.
• You grant us permission to display your listing text, photos, and first name on the site, and to store the messages buyers send you so you can read them.
• Listings expire 30 days after approval unless you renew them. You can mark an item sold or remove your listing with your private manage link. Anyone who has that link can manage the listing, so keep it private.

4. Messages and contact details

Your email or phone is not shown on your listing. Buyers message you through the site and you read those messages on your private manage page; we do not email sellers. If you choose the optional “show my contact” setting, your contact is shown to visitors who pass an automatic check. Buyers who message you should only share contact details they are comfortable giving to the seller. Messages are moderated: the site owner can read, hold, or delete them.

5. Acceptable behavior

No spam, scams, harassment, scraping, or attempts to disrupt the site.

6. Reporting and removal

Use the report form to flag a listing or ask us to remove yours.

7. Trademarks and independence

Tuscaloosa Swap is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any university, school, or athletic program. Names and marks of others belong to their owners.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
