1. What this site is

Tuscaloosa Swap is a free online bulletin board where people in the Tuscaloosa area post items and offers. We do not own, inspect, store, ship, or guarantee any item, parking space, listing, or person. We do not process payments. A person reads each listing before it appears, but that is not a check of the item or the seller.

2. Use at your own risk

You are responsible for what you buy, sell, and agree to, and for how and where you meet. Follow the safety tips and the meetup guide. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is”, with no warranties, and the operator is not liable for losses, injuries, disputes, or damages that come from listings or meetings arranged through the site.

3. Your listings

• You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
• You must own what you list or have the right to sell or give it away, and your description must be honest.
• You must not list prohibited items.
• Parking may only be listed by owners, or people with the owner’s written permission, under the parking rules. Parking listings need a date and time, and the street address stays out of the listing.
• Listings are read before they appear. We may decline, change, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, without notice.
• You let us show your listing text, photos, and first name on the site, and store the messages buyers send you.
• Listings expire 30 days after approval unless you renew them. You can mark an item sold, change the price, renew, or remove a listing with your private manage link. Anyone who has that link can manage the listing, so keep it private. If you set a recovery code, anyone who has it and your listing reference can get a new link.

4. Messages and contact details

Your email or phone is not shown on your listing. Buyers message you through the site, and you read and answer those messages yourself. We do not email sellers. If you turn on “show my contact”, your contact is shown to visitors who pass an automatic check. Only share contact details you are comfortable giving to the other person. Messages are moderated: the site owner can read, hold, or delete them.

5. Acceptable behavior

No spam, scams, harassment, scraping, or attempts to break or overload the site. We may limit or block connections that do.

6. Reporting and removal

Use the report form to flag a listing, ask for yours to be removed, or contact the site owner. We read reports at least every 2 days and can’t promise a reply.

7. Independence and trademarks

Tuscaloosa Swap is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any university, school, or athletic program. Names and marks of others belong to their owners.

8. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
